We engaged Innovent to build an on-line ordering system for our business. This is a complex task as over 90% of what pour clients order is custom made. With the Innovent team, they were able to design and customise reports with incompatible systems to create automated reports. At St Paul’s College, the Board required a certain type of report to monitor the Cash Flow. The Innovent team were able to produce this on a very short period of time with 100 percent accuracy.

Our company runs after school drama classes and performing arts holiday programs in Sydney and Melbourne and automating the enrolment process for the holiday programs has been a real time saver. We would save about a day a week in administration for the enrolment process and then at the time we are ready to run the program we have an accurate ‘sign in’ sheet with the parents contact details available at a touch of a button, a template for name tags and certificates for students enrolled. I couldn’t estimate the hours we have saved with this feature.

Due to the success of our programs in Australia we have in 2013 expanded to Auckland, New Zealand. We now have a New Zealand website and Innovent Business Solutions were able to replicate our online system and run it for our New Zealand clients. We are operating the New Zealand business from Australia thanks to the online registration system.

MRNSW runs a MYOB general ledger for each of the 46 Units. Input is done by each of the Treasurers at the Units to a central server based in Sydney. HQ has access to each General Ledger and each General Ledger is standalone. In order to consolidate all Units into a Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss account, Innovent have prepared a consolidation program that looks at each Unit in turn and extracts the two reports. The consolidation generally takes about ten minutes to prepare. We have been using this technique to prepare monthly accounts since April 2011 and use the Excel capabilities to consolidate the information into the Board report.

The Innovent system has improved member service with more efficient and manageable way of receiving, storing and locating member details, orders, membership payments and other related functions. It has also improved the the logistical and stock maintenance operations by improving the purchasing/procurement, picking, packing and despatch process to ensure members receive the correct goods and quantities.
